HCPT Awards Expansion Contract to Clarity

10:58 am   -   March 10th, 2008

Clarity, the telecommunication industry’s Operational Support System (OSS) business process automation company, has been awarded a contract by PT Hutchison CP Telecommunications (HCPT) to expand the use of its end to end OSS . HCPT and its prime systems integrator, Tech Mahindra, selected Clarity OSS for real-time, zero-touch provisioning of 3G subscriber services. The solution will be configured to enable the operator to deploy new services easily and quickly.

The operator selected Clarity from a competitive field because of the system’s scalability and configurability. 3G services necessitate on-demand delivery of innovative application and content services, as well as traditional voice and messaging services to the subscriber’s mobile phone. Clarity OSS is uniquely designed to support convergent delivery of voice, data, application and content services over next generation networks.

HCPT, a subsidiary of Hong-Kong based leading telecommunications group Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited and Thai agribusiness group, is the latest entrant to Indonesia ’s mobile telephony market providing customers with innovative GSM products and services at affordable price. The company has experienced encouraging market acceptance since launch and is fast becoming one of the most popular GSM operators in the country.

“With the flexibility required to enter a competitive market such as Indonesia , we are delighted to partner with Clarity to provide a flexible and stable solution suitable in meeting our needs”, said Michael Johnston, Chief Information Officer of HCPT.

Raj Thangiah, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Clarity, commented on the win: “We’re very pleased to see the continued adoption of Clarity by mobile service providers and are proud that our solution offered the right flexibility and scalability to be chosen over and above our competitors. It’s a very exciting time in Indonesia , with fierce competition and immense growth potential. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with HCPT, providing them with the right solutions to facilitate their expansion.”To change a particular background puff image, right click on its bottom right hand corner
