Global Convergence Solutions, Inc., a leading communications integrator and solutions provider specializing in next generation networks for the service provider and enterprise market (www.globalconverge.com), has merged with FieldOps Network, LLC (www.fieldopsnetwork.com).

The combined entity will operate under the Global Convergence Solutions (GCS) brand and be headquartered in Princeton, NJ. Neal Axelrad continues as CEO and Jay Meranchik will remain as President and CTO. Mike Januzzi, CEO of FieldOps Network, assumes the responsibility of Sales in the combined organization.

“The union of our two organizations provides current and future customers with unparalleled expertise and service in design, deployment and management of next generation networks and services,” says Axelrad. “We have now assembled a team of industry experts with executive, technical, sales and product development skills to deliver a robust, flexible and scalable solution to fit the needs of our customers in an ever changing technology environment.”

As a result of the merger, GCS now provides a wider range of telecommunications services and is able to broadly execute its Global Next Generation Network Strategy while mitigating technology risks typically associated with many of today’s deployments.

Using GCS expertise and professional services, service providers are now be able to rapidly accelerate through the learning curve associated with design, engineering, deployment, operations and monitoring of complex next generation IP-based communications platforms at a fraction of the cost of a typical project.

“Joining forces with GCS creates an organization with the expertise to create and manage next generation networks that is second to none,” adds Januzzi. “Our combined customers will immediately realize the benefits of the broader breadth and depth of knowledge the combined company will now provide.”

The merged organization has a customer base that includes network operators, applications providers and international telecommunications and service providers.
