Global Cable, Content, Telecom and Mobile Network Powerhouses Converge at Second Annual C-COR Global IP Summit

2:23 am   -   April 27th, 2006

Against a backdrop of more services and content moving over demand-oriented IP networks to multiple devices, the second-annual C-COR (Nasdaq:CCBL) Global IP Summit will take place at the Astir Palace Hotel in Athens, Greece, June 28-29, 2006. This year’s event will challenge North American and European operators of cable, telecom and mobile networks, as well as content providers and advertising executives, to explore and expand strategies that can improve the subscriber experience and generate profitable revenue for their organizations.

Keynote presentations will be delivered by Mike Fries, President and CEO, Liberty Global, Inc., and Josh Sapan, President and CEO of Rainbow Media Holdings LLC, and Summit speakers will include: Dr. Philip Alvelda, chairman and CEO, MobiTV; Philip Jean Blanchette, director, General/Operations, ONO; Mitch Clarke, executive vice president, Market Operations, UPC Broadband; Walter Delph, director, FiOS Video Programming, Verizon; Graeme Ferguson, director, Global Content Development, Vodafone Group Services Ltd.; Blake Krikorian, CEO, SlingMedia; Hassan Miah, managing director, Oris Capital; Andreas Mueller-Schubert, president, Fixed Network Solutions, Siemens; Jobst Muhlbach, head of Digital TV Engineering, Kabel Deutschland; Herve Payan, senior vice president Content Services, France Telecom; and Charlie Thurston, president, Advertising Sales, ComcastSpotlight.

The two-day forum will feature informative panels and breakout sessions that will focus on topics such as protecting and serving the mass market while putting subscribers in control; the new video world of IPTV and switched digital; and a snapshot of what’s coming in enabling network technology. Agenda, registration and sponsorship opportunities for the C-COR Global IP Summit can be accessed at http://www.c-cor.com.

C-COR Chairman and CEO David Woodle, who will open the Summit on June 28th, said: “Our second event is industry-wide and will expand beyond IP services delivery over existing networks. Building on last year’s Summit, we will engage the audience in discussions on how operators will deal with complex challenges presented by legacy systems as they deploy IP-based services, and how convergence to common IP services over different networks will play out in the future. Our goal is to give participants an opportunity to interact, learn from each other’s expertise and gain knowledge they can use to help their organizations make better strategic business and technology decisions.”
