12:46 am   -   January 31st, 2007

Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in customer care, human resources, and billing services, has announced that MTS Allstream Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. (TSX: MBT) has implemented Convergys’ Infinys [tm] software for rating and mediating its wireless data usage services. MTS Allstream is one of Canada’s leading communications providers.

Convergys completed the first stage of the implementation for MTS Allstream’s wireless data business and is now implementing Infinys software for order management, rating, and mediation management to support its wireline voice services.

MTS Allstream licensed the full suite of Infinys comprehensive, convergent, business support software from Convergys for use across its lines of business. Convergys’ professional and consulting organization is assisting MTS Allstream with a modernization of all its billing operations.

“One of the key reasons we selected Convergys was the modular nature of its Infinys software, which gives us the capability to modernize and consolidate our billing operations with a true product-based, end-to-end solution that can handle all of our lines of business,” said Nick Curry, CIO of MTS Allstream. “Combining this with the billing and customer management experience and operational expertise of Convergys’ professional and consulting services, we are able to devise the best solution configuration to optimize our customer service experience across the entire enterprise while reducing our operational costs considerably.”

“Given our specialized knowledge of billing and customer care, our experience in operating large contact center and data center operations, and our leading software development skills with Infinys, Convergys is ideally suited to support MTS Allstream with its consolidation of multiple business lines and various products onto a single solution,” said Bob Lento, President of Communications Industry Solutions for Convergys. “With Infinys, MTS Allstream is realizing unsurpassed convergent billing capabilities, investment protection, and lower total cost of ownership for its billing, order management, and customer care operations.”

With more than 20 years of experience in billing and customer care, Convergys combines its broad portfolio of professional and consulting services, deep technical and operational expertise, and award-winning Infinys software to solve its clients’ complex BSS and CRM business problems. Convergys is Outthinking and Outdoing [tm] on behalf of its clients every day.
