Comptel Finalized a Major License Deal with IBM India
IBM in India concluded a significant long-term agreement with Comptel Corporation to deliver and maintain the Comptel Convergent Charging Solution, which is being used by a leading operator in India. This solution is in addition to the existing online mediation solution delivered earlier by Comptel and IBM.
The total value of the agreement is EUR 10.1 million (as of today, nearly USD $16 million) for the coming seven years. Comptel estimates that up to EUR 4.0 million (as of today, USD $6.3 million) will be recognized as revenue during 2008.
“This is one of the largest single deals in Comptel’s history. The enhanced Comptel Convergent Charging Solution, a key component of the Comptel Dynamic OSS, will be used by one of the leading operators in the world. This agreement also highlights our great relationship with IBM in Asia-Pacific”, commented Sami Erviö, President and CEO of Comptel.
