Comarch and PSI Join Forces in the OSS Arena

11:15 am   -   May 31st, 2007

Comarch and PSI, well-known members of TeleManagement Forum, announced today that they will cooperate in the global Telecommunication markets

Comarch the leading OSS solutions supplier and PSI TELCO the leading network management supplier have agreed to create a common solution combining Comarch OSS Suite and PSI Configuration Management System based on TeleManagement Forum NGOSS principles.

NGOSS is a comprehensive, integrated framework for developing, procuring, and deploying operational and business support systems and software. It is available as a toolkit of industry-agreed specifications and guidelines that cover key business and technical areas.

The cooperation of Comarch and PSI Telco has a solid business and technological justification. Both companies have been competing in the telecommunications market over the past few years. Therefore, in order to repel constant pressure from other market players, the decision was made to become partners, providing possibilities for product synergies and strengthening the business position of both companies.

“We are delighted with this joint initiative between Comarch and PSI. We believe that the market value of the merged product will be higher than the value of the products when they are considered independently,” said Pawel Lopata, Department Manager for Telco OSS, Solution & Product Management.

“By integrating our successful Configuration Management System with the Comarch OSS suite, we will extend our current reach, targeting new regions and operators, building on the established and trusted reputation of both our companies’ products. We are delighted to enter into this partnership with Comarch to offer operators the greatest flexibility of solutions design coupled with innovative marketing capabilities enabling them to differentiate themselves in the increasingly competitive telecoms arena,” said Dr. Frank Eiffert, PSI Director of Telecommunications.
