Clarity Reaches 120 Million Subscribers

8:06 am   -   May 22nd, 2008

Unified OSS comes of age

Clarity announced it is now the market leader in unified OSS, having hit 120 million subscribers. This amount of subscribers marks a breakthrough in the marketing and provisioning for unified OSS for Tier 1 as well as Tier 2 telcos. This achievement follows a 12 month period of extra-ordinary growth, which has seen Clarity sign contracts with a number of new customers including BSNL, Globe Telecom, and Western Power.

Clarity is the only company able to comprehensively link network to service and provides proven, pre-integrated inventory, fulfillment and assurance applications on a single SID based database, enabling real-time executive visibility of the network’s impact on revenues and customer experience. Clarity is network and service neutral, driven by templates and workflows that are rapidly configurable, allowing telecom companies to cut time to market for new services by two-thirds.

Arindam Banerjee, Program Manager, Yankee Group commented, “There has been much talk in the communications industry over the last few years about how the unified OSS solution, with a single data model, can actually be a game changer and how vendors with such a solution can potentially dominate the OSS market. Clarity’s announcement is an excellent indicator that now this is actually happening. Providing telcos with a strategic architecture which addresses all their OSS needs is a fundamentally sensible idea which gets rid of the very real headache of integrating anywhere from 10 to 30 disparate OSS applications in one go.”

As well as working closely with telcos, Clarity also prides itself on its SI friendly approach. Raj Thangiah, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Clarity, added, “We put our success down to making ourselves tremendously easy to do business with. We’re acutely aware of systems integrators obligations to telcos and in turn, telco’s service obligations to their customers. This milestone of 120 million subscribers is testament to the success of the unified OSS market as a whole as well as a clear endorsement of Clarity’s business model.”

Clarity is the first Next Generation OSS to be deployed end-to-end, across all lines of business, by leading Tier 1 service providers. Clarity’s installed base includes such operators as Telekom Malaysia , Hutchison, as well as India ’s giant Reliance Communications.
