Clarity Offers Version 10 of Its Next Generation OSS

5:12 pm   -   April 26th, 2007

Clarity, the telecommunication industry’s Operational Support System (OSS) business process automation company, has introduced Clarity 10 (C10), an OSS uniquely designed to map the network to the service and the customer. C10 is the first carrier-grade OSS to offer a tightly integrated provisioning, inventory, service assurance and workforce management solution on a single unified platform. Five tier one operators are preparing to implement C10 before July 2007.

Clarity has introduced this product to meet operators’ movement towards aligning their business model on customer line, rather than product and service offerings. C10 offers a single database for fulfilment and assurance, enabling users to track all aspects of their system with ease. The product is highly scalable and is designed to rationalise the number of IT platforms. This lowers infrastructure and capital expenses, as well as reducing time to market.

For improved efficiency, C10’s new Internet-based customer web portal offers network engineers and end telco consumers a near real-time view of network performance and SLA delivery. Other additions include a tightly integrated workforce management module ensuring seamless, real-time connectivity with the mobile workforce, as well as auto-discovery and IP number management capability. C10 offers automation and support for IPTV, next generation networks and legacy systems on a single platform, ensuring effective end-to-end business processes for service fulfilment and service assurance.

C10 is based on a service-orientated architecture (SOA) and web services, making integration easier, more scaleable and cost effective to users.

“Most of our customers offer convergent services across a mixture of legacy and next generation networks. It is imperative that these two systems can operate together on a single platform,” said Scott Neylon, Vice President for R&D, Clarity.

“Clarity’s C10 product suite demonstrates our commitment to reducing customer network and service roll-out costs, by ensuring we continue to offer the world’s leading end-to-end solution.”

Developed as a pre-integrated end-to-end solution, Clarity Next Generation OSS is setting the standard for seamless delivery of resource management, service provisioning and service assurance within the one system. Uniquely designed to support convergence, Clarity OSS engineers, provisions and assures voice, data, IP, application and content services over legacy and next generation networks.

About Clarity
Clarity is the telecommunication industry’s Operational Support System (OSS) business process automation company – providing a pre-integrated product and database that streamlines the 17 eTOM elements of OSS into a single suite. Having simplified the management of both legacy and next-generation network environments, Clarity OSS is network and services neutral, driven by templates that are rapidly configurable to allow operators to cut time to market for any new service by two-thirds. Today Clarity simplifies network support for over 90 million subscribers worldwide.
