Carter Joins Martin Group Software Sales Team
Martin Group, the nationwide leader of Software, Business Services, and Engineering for communications providers, today announced that David Carter has joined Martin Group as a Territory Sales Manager responsible for OSS/BSS software sales in the southwest region of the United States.
Carter brings over 20 years experience in the communications industry with a strategic focus in the Independent Operating Company (IOC) marketplace. Entering the communications industry shortly after divestiture, Carter has valuable Carrier Access Billing (CABS) knowledge. Carter has been and continues to be involved and very active in state and national organizations supporting IOC’s.
“David Carter has the industry knowledge, experience, and customer relationships required for this key position,” said Jeff Boozer, Martin Group’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “The addition of Carter will enable us to better support customers and continue to build market share.”
Before joining Martin Group, Carter held various positions at Communications Data Group, Inc., Ritter Information Systems, and Data Products International where he was responsible for sales, business development, marketing, and account maintenance. In his career, Carter has tackled the issues of selling, maintaining, installing, and implementing software and services. Prior to his career in the communications industry, Carter spent nine seasons in the NFL’s professional ranks, seven with the Houston Oilers and two with the New Orleans Saints. He currently resides in the Houston, Texas area.
