CAPE Technologies Launches Prepaid Balance Validation

6:35 am   -   May 17th, 2007

CAPE Technologies, the leading innovator and provider of Revenue, Cost and Margin Assurance solutions for the Telecommunications industry, has launched the latest addition to its RevenueOfficeâ„¢ suite of Revenue Assurance product modules: RevenueOfficeâ„¢ Prepaid Balance Validation.

Prepaid Balance Validation, built on the RevenueOffice™ User Framework, enables CAPE’s customers to assure the accuracy of balance calculation for all prepaid subscribers in the network, validating that all balance affecting transactions (usage records, top-ups, adjustments) have been correctly applied to each subscriber’s balance.

RevenueOffice™ Prepaid Balance Validation will be key to helping CAPE’s customers introduce additional objective and concrete controls into the prepaid management process; a process that has traditionally been viewed as a “black box” to Revenue Assurance when attempting to monitor the real-time billing of prepaid usage and processing of top-ups. Prepaid Balance Validation not only verifies the accuracy of balances, but monitors and reports on anomalies in the IN (Intelligent Network) such as negative balances, duplicate or invalid balance-affecting records, and very small or very large top-ups and adjustments such as promotional credits.

CAPE is in the process of deploying the Prepaid Balance Validation module for a key RevenueOfficeâ„¢ customer in Western Europe, helping to address a lack of visibility into the integrity and accuracy of their IN, as well as providing much-needed Sarbanes-Oxley controls for auditing of the prepaid traffic stream.

Philip Sharpe, President and CEO of CAPE, commented: “At CAPE we have a long history in assuring the prepaid provisioning process, profiling prepaid call traffic and performing cross-reconciliation of prepaid usage data between switching elements and the Intelligent Network. Prepaid Balance Validation now provides an additional control for Revenue Assurance departments to ensure complete coverage of the prepaid management process. This is another example of the extensibility of the RevenueOffice platform upon which we are adding a number of new product modules in the current year, with rapid ROI for our customers as the ultimate goal.”
