C-COR Launches Cable TV Services for Major Asian Travel Hubs

7:50 am   -   March 27th, 2007

C-COR Incorporated (NASDAQ: CCBL), the cable industry’s leading supplier of 1GHz broadband access equipment, is providing the Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) networks of two major travel hubs in Asia. Singapore’s Changi Airport and Thailand’s new Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport are deploying C-COR’s 1GHz broadband amplifiers and optical transmission equipment to deliver an in-house suite of cable TV services.

C-COR’s portfolio of modular hardware and software products enables network operators to expand existing capacity, launch revenue-generating services, and automate the management of services and resources on their networks.

Changi, one of the newest and busiest airports in Asia, is deploying a full suite of C-COR’s HFC equipment, including the company’s CHP Max5000(tm) Converged Headend Platform, Flex Max ™ amplifiers, and Opti Max optical nodes, to reliably grow its existing bandwidth capacity. The products will deliver in-house cable services across Changi’s Terminal 3, opening in 2008, and also provide a separate cable TV system for the public. Since late 2006, C-COR’s OptiMax2000 nodes have also been powering a reliable and robust HFC network for the MATV cable system at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Thailand’s state-of-the-art airport.

“C-COR’s impressive track record of delivering 1GHz broadband amplifiers as well as optical transmission products that help to maximize both network capacity and investment returns helped win these prestigious projects,” said Fred Choy, Sales Director in Asia for C-COR. “We’re proud to take part in projects that will reliably deliver cable TV services to millions of world travelers at two of Asia’s busiest travel hubs.”

C-COR is a leading supplier of 1GHz transmission equipment that provides cable operators a cost-effective solution to increase capacity and ensure future flexibility on existing HFC networks. C-COR’s line of integrated 1GHz access products includes headend optical transmitters, segmentable nodes, and amplifiers.
