Bharti Telesoft Deploys Missed Call Application At Mobilecom Jordan

5:55 pm   -   September 22nd, 2006

Bharti Telesoft, the leading global supplier of core Value Added Services (VAS) platforms and Business Support Systems for wireless and wireline carriers, has successfully deployed its Missed Call Alert (MCA) platform, a system that captures every call attempt and automatically transmits missed call notifications over SMS to users. MobileCom is Jordan’s second GSM operator and a pioneer of launching innovative VAS for its 1.2 million strong subscriber base. The MCA solution, branded CLI+ (Caller Location Identification) by MobileCom Jordan, was successfully implemented within a tight time-frame, meeting all budget and functionality objectives, allowing MobileCom to launch the service commercially on Tuesday 19th September.

CLI+ allows MobileCom subscribers to keep track of who is trying to contact them whenever they are unavailable and ensures that any missed call information is sent to the subscriber, as soon as he can be reached. MobileCom’s CLI+ provides detailed call information in a non-intrusive moder, allowing its subscribers to review and respond to missed calls as they choose. CLI+ generates additional revenue from new calls being made and also overcomes the problems associated with voice mail – namely that many callers do not like to leave voice messages on a customer’s voice mailbox.

“Our subscribers, whenever unavailable, want to be able to inform callers why they are out of reach, as well as seeking the reassurance that they will be fully informed of who has been calling them and when. With CLI+, our subscribers can predefine SMS messages to be sent to callers and are confident that they will receive complete information on who has called. Providing contact information in an SMS encourages a return call, and avoids the delay involved in calling the voicemail service. What is more, CLI+ offers some very handy features, which help subscribers control their missed calls ” said Jean-Michel Chanut, MobileCom’s CMO.

These features include ‘Caller Alert’, where CLI+ informs the caller when the subscriber is available again, ‘Alert Messages Divert’, which enables subscribers to divert missed calls to another number, ‘Roaming CLI+’, providing subscribers with caller details via SMS when roaming abroad, and for additional missed call control, subscribers can blacklist ‘nuisance’ numbers, to avoid receiving any missed call information from unwelcome callers.

For MobileCom, CLI+ combines a marketing opportunity with operational benefits. MobileCom can use CLI+ to send promotional information on new services when sending subscribers missed call information. Operationally, the platform improves efficiency, as a single platform is able to manage multiple MSCs and send alerts to a particular area served by the multiple MSCs.

“Bharti Telesoft is delighted to provide MobileCom with a solution that helps subscribers better manage their missed calls and encourages increased call completion – and what’s more, deliver this on a platform that can be used to offer additional value added services,” said Mr. Sanjiv Mital, CEO, Bharti Telesoft Ltd.
