Bezeq International Deploys Integrated VoIP Solution From Veraz and SigValue

10:33 pm   -   March 15th, 2006

Veraz Networks, Inc. and SigValue Technologies Ltd. today announced the deployment of a fully-integrated, end-to-end, VoIP network solution at Bezeq International. Bezeq International replaced its legacy TDM environment with the joint solution in an effort to migrate to an open IMS-based architecture (IP Multimedia Subsystem) and is now delivering enhanced telephony applications and services to its large base of pre-paid residential and calling card subscribers.

The joint Veraz-SigValue solution allows Bezeq International to respond to market demands quickly and easily by offering new applications such as Voice over Broadband (VOBB), Class 5 Services and Intelligent Network (IN) services. The solution provides a robust suite of long-distance, international gateway functionalities alongside advanced billing and value added services such as prepaid services and a full-featured postpaid calling card service. Bezeq International will also be able to leverage SigValue’s Value platform to deploy additional services including Callback service and Advanced International toll-free service.

The open architecture of both companies’ platforms enables service providers to choose preferred solutions and easily integrate them into an existing network. Recently, industry groups, carriers and vendors have promoted the adoption of IMS as part of an overall network and services architecture. Veraz’s ControlSwitch(TM) softswitch and service delivery platform form the fundamental part of a service provider’s overall IMS architecture.

“Bezeq International is one of the first operators in Israel to embrace an IMS-based architecture where we can launch new services and bill in real-time any type of media, from any type of access, regardless of the payment method the subscriber chooses,” said Yuval Keinan, VP Technologies, Bezeq International. “We believe that the solution provided by Veraz and SigValue equips Bezeq International with the most advanced tools in the market to generate revenue producing services and create customer loyalty in both the residential and business market.”

“We are excited to be part of this next generation deployment for Bezeq International,” said Paul Singh, VP of Business Development, Veraz Networks Inc. “This deployment demonstrates the power of Veraz’s open architecture to advance the migration of advanced communication services to IP networks with on-the-fly service creation, delivery, and management.”

“This is a vote of confidence in SigValue’s technology. Bezeq International has been using SigValue’s platform since 2002, and easily identified the cost effectiveness and risk free migration of its legacy Intelligent Network environment into our next generation SIP based platform,” said Eli Yardeni, SVP sales and marketing, SigValue Technologies. “This is another demonstration of the flexibility of SigValue’s Value platform and how operators can leverage the platform’s extensibility to seamlessly run in either legacy and/or SIP based environments, converged billing and revenue generating services.”
