Azure Solutions and Teradata Partner to Offer Revenue Assurance and Enterprise Data Warehouse Solutions

10:49 pm   -   March 10th, 2006

Azure Solutions, the revenue-assurance company, today announced a global partnering agreement with global enterprise data warehouse (EDW) leader, Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation. This agreement combines the Teradata® Warehouse with Azure’s Certo 2.0(TM) revenue-assurance software to help telecommunications firms reduce revenue leakage and leverage the data that is collected during the revenue assurance process.

“Teradata is the leader in enterprise data warehousing and revenue-assurance projects now require a robust EDW to enable an integrated, collated view of the customer transaction from a single access point,” said Steven Bruny, president of Azure Solutions. “This partnership with Teradata made perfect sense from our vantage point as the amount of data generated through our systems continues to grow with IP-based and content-centric network offerings.”

The partnership between Azure and Teradata addresses the need for carriers to improve their revenue-assurance programs and to better manage the explosive growth in operational network data. With revenue assurance, carriers seek to ensure every sale, transaction and event   metered or non-metered is turned into cash as soon as possible.

Azure’s Certo 2.0 revenue assurance platform allows carriers to monitor and correct revenue leakage problems on their networks in real time. Certo 2.0 uses advanced process automation to provide end-to-end visibility and control of the entire revenue lifecycle   faster, more cost-effectively and with greater accuracy and fewer resources than any other solution in the marketplace.

Teradata’s enterprise data warehouse builds an end-to-end view of subscriber usage transactions and analyzes data with the latest integrated tools. These offer revenue assurance analysts greater and more timely insights into usage data. That means companies have a platform for performing root-cause analysis using detailed data, and that moves toward faster analysis and problem resolution thereby recovering leaked revenue sooner.

“We are pleased to form this relationship with Azure Solutions, both because of the breadth of the company’s product line and its solid reputation as a world leader in revenue assurance,” said Tony Samuels, Teradata Communication, Media & Entertainment industry vice president. “With Azure’s Certo 2 and Teradata’s linearly-scalable database platform, customers are able to process billions of call detail records (CDRs) per day.  Operators can now store, retrieve and better analyze the data they collect from their revenue assurance initiatives.”
