Axiom Systems Partners With TierOne OSS Technologies To Deliver Complete Service Fulfillment Solution

9:19 pm   -   June 29th, 2006

Axiom Systems, a leader in Service Fulfilment software for communications service providers, has announced a strategic partnership with a leading North American Operations Support System (OSS) consultancy and systems integrator, TierOne OSS Technologies. The partnership will result in the seamless integration of AXIOSS with TierOne™ enSEMBLE, to create the industry’s first integrated Service Fulfillment solution to simultaneously address provisioning and activation requirements across Layer 1 (Optical, Photonic), Layer 2 (Carrier Ethernet, DSL, Broadband) and Layer 3 (VoIP, IPTV) networks.

“Service Providers are under real pressure to address the demands that new converged services are placing on their underlying transport network infrastructure and OSS systems,” said Brad Niven, Axiom System’s Regional Director for the Americas.

AXIOSS is a unique component-based platform that enables Service Provider’s to design, create and deliver next generation services such as IPTV and VoIP over agnostic broadband and IP networks. TierOne™ enSEMBLE is the telecommunications industry’s leading integrated solution suite for comprehensive transport network management supporting last-gen, this-gen and next-generation services.

“Partnering with TierOne means that we can bring a unique solution to the North American market that addresses all three layers of a Service Providers network infrastructure. We are essentially combining TierOne’s reputation for excellence and proven Layer 1 products with Axiom’s Layer 2 and Layer 3 experience and expertise.”

“Axiom Systems’ leadership and experience in providing next generation service fulfillment solutions means that we can now offer Service Provider’s an opportunity to capitalize on the new revenue opportunities presented by Layer 2 and 3 services, while also solving fundamental Layer 1 network issues, all through a single solution,” said Paul Vedam, CEO at TierOne OSS Technologies.

“Many of today’s Service Provider’s are discovering that the successful rollout of new converged services depends on achieving greater operational efficiencies in their service fulfillment process, which can now be realized by the seamless management of their Layer 1 through 3 network infrastructure.”

The AXIOSS suite is comprised of building block Components based on Axiom Systems’ experience in various Broadband and IP service fulfillment projects. Each Component contains a multitude of complex workflow processes, inventory models and network interfaces required in the provisioning of multi-vendor, multi technology Triple Play networks. This approach ensures that only tried and tested re-usable components are incorporated into each new product or service, thus reducing many of the errors typically associated with network configuration and removing quality and reliability risks traditionally associated with service enablement.

The TierOne™ enSEMBLE solution includes a suite of software component applications designed and developed to address specific network operations requirements. One component, TierOne™ enVISION, provides Fortune 500 companies with a robust customer service management application that enables them to view and manage their own ‘virtual’ network and services.
