Astellia Appoints Rajesh Sharma As VP Sales & Customer Operations

Astellia, leading provider of monitoring solutions for the optimization of mobile network QoS and performance has appointed Rajesh Sharma to the position of Vice President Sales and Customer Operations. He will lead all sales activities, operations and customer service to drive Astellia’s expansion into new markets and growth in its customer base.

Rajesh Sharma brings with him more than 15 years of successful sales and business development experience in EMEA and Asia Pacific in the telecom and software industry. He served various senior sales positions for prominent companies and developed a strong understanding of the telecommunications sector including mobile operators and equipment vendors.
Most recently, as Director at Citrix Systems International, he led the business unit responsible for System Integrators and Telco in EMEA. This became one of the fastest growing segments of Citrix in EMEA.

Previously, Rajesh worked for 11 years in senior sales and business development roles in EMEA at Nortel. During his tenure he led various successful sales initiatives to grow Nortel business in the Telecom operators and Enterprise segments. He was responsible for strategic partnership with IBM, EMC2, Dell and Sun Micro System. In Asia Pacific, he worked with the Tata Group in India and also completed assignment with the CDMA division of Lucent Technologies in Asia Pacific.
