12:41 pm   -   February 10th, 2009

Aricent to integrate and deploy multi-vendor operations support systems for leading Nordic region communications service provider

Today, AricentTM announced that TDC, a leading provider of communications solutions in Denmark and a strong player in the Nordic business market, selected Aricent’s telecommunications system integration services to integrate and deploy multi-vendor enhancements to its operations support systems.

In the Nordic region TDC has four business units: Business Nordic, Fixnet Nordic, Mobile Nordic and YouSee. TDC’s activities outside the region comprise, among others, Sunrise, a leading telecommunications provider in Switzerland, and HTCC, a leading telecommunications provider in Hungary. TDC was partly privatized in 1994 and fully privatized in 1998. Nordic Telephone Company ApS owns 87.9% of TDC, with the remainder of the shares held by individual and institutional shareowners.

“Aricent’s deep domain expertise in fixed networking and broadband OSS/BSS systems made them the leading choice for TDC’s system integration requirements,” said Carsten Dilling, CEO of Operations and Operations & Wholesale. “We look forward to working closely with Aricent moving forward to achieve our goal to drive further automation and process improvements, providing the best possible services, anytime, anywhere. We expect that Aricent’s implementation will not only deliver very significant operational cost reductions, but also yield a measurable increase in customer satisfaction.”

Aricent’s telecommunications system integration practice delivers advanced and reliable Operations Support Systems and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) solutions that facilitate fast roll out of innovative services, reduce operating expenses, improve the users’ experience and loyalty, and create new revenue streams while preserving existing sources.

The firm’s expertise and offerings range from process consulting, lifecycle services, and system integration to managed services. They span vital end-to-end OSS/BSS processes as outlined in the TM Forum’s Business Process Framework (eTOM) – from Strategy, Infrastructure, and Product Lifecycle Management to Operations Support, Fulfillment, Assurance, and Billing.

The comprehensive range of offerings includes:

*** Business Process Consulting – From establishing new processes in support of new networks and services to evaluations and recommendations for optimizing existing processes and procedures;

*** LifeCycle Services – Including business and strategy consulting, software/product design, and development, IT transformation services, application maintenance and end-to-end testing services;

*** System Integration (Aricent products and well established partnerships) – Including fulfillment, inventory, order management, assurance, billing & mediation, CRM, OSS, security, and consulting;

*** Managed Services – Aricent offers feasibility and assessment, operations management, product support services, managed project services, and testing management.

“TDC has established itself as one of the leading providers of landline and mobile communications solutions in the Nordic region,” said Sanjay Dhawan, President and COO of Aricent. “We are very pleased to have been selected as their systems integration partner, and we look forward to working together.”
