Argent Networks Launches New Version of InBill Interconnect for Next Generation Networks

8:29 pm   -   August 3rd, 2006

Argent Networks, a provider of BSS and OSS solutions for fixed, mobile and next generation networks, has launched the latest version of its leading in>Bill Interconnect rating, billing and settlement solution.

Larry Barker, Chief Executive Officer for Argent Networks says that the release of the new version 6.0 of in>Bill to the market is exciting for the company. “in>Bill version 6.0 forms an important part of Argent’s suite of products designed to enable its partners and customers to roll out next generation services, as well as handle the complex inter-carrier settlement models being exhibited between carriers, content and media providers,” says Barker.

Argent’s in>Bill version 6.0 supports all network types and settlement billing models from traditional network services through to next generation VoIP, Content, IPTV, and multimedia services on a single platform.

Larry Barker also says that Argent is at the forefront of this development which is where the company believes the global telecommunications and OSS industry is headed.

“As an example of this, Argent has just signed a significant OEM (original equipment manufacturer) contract to supply billing, rating and settlement for IPTV/Broadband to one of the world’s largest manufacturers of core network products.”

The new version of in>Bill version 6.0 also provides a powerful platform for the handling of telecommunications transaction records (i.e. IPDR’s, CDR’s and EDR’s) with the capability to load process, rate and produce settlement records for all network types and elements.

“in>Bill version 6 further handles all the traditional wholesale interconnect features like, partnership management, contract management, volume-based rating, one-off recurring charges, discounting, re-pricing and rating, while also providing full ERP and data warehousing for millions of transactions and event records.”

“We are proud of Argent’s leading position in the traditional and NGN wholesale billing markets, we plan to provide in>BILL version 6.0 to our present and future customers providing them with the tools they need to be competitive in this ever changing market,” says Barker.

in>Bill is recognized as a market leading product with leading market share in the Asia-Pacific market and installations in Europe and the USA. in>Bill is a global leader in wholesale settlement for fixed line and wireless carriers supporting traditional network services such as fixed line interconnect, roaming and mobile/wireless interconnect rating, billing and settlement.

Argent Networks has already deployed many content settlement solutions globally with sites such as Celcom (Malaysia), Smart (Philippines) and Insight (USA) amongst others. Argent’s in>Bill has been deployed in a variety of new generation and third generation networks (NGN / 3G) globally handling CDMA/WCDMA/GSM and VoIP rating, billing and settlement.
