Angerhofer Promoted to Martin Group’s Vice President of TCE
Martin Group, the nationwide leader of Software, Business Services, and Engineering for Communications providers, today announced the promotion of Mr. Steven H. Angerhofer to Vice President of Telecommunications Consulting & Engineering (TCE). He assumes this position immediately and will continue to report to Peter Rasmusson, President of TCE.
In his most recent role as Director, Telecommunications Consulting, Mr. Angerhofer was responsible for data networking, Fiber To The Home (FTTH), and video head-end designs and deployments. Mr. Angerhofer and his team consulted with Dakota Central Telecommunications (Carrington, North Dakota) when they wanted to deliver voice, video and data services through the implementation of FTTH, allowing Dakota Central Telecommunications to gain new customers and add additional revenue. Pineland Telephone Cooperative (Metter, Georgia) selected Mr. Angerhofer and his team of industry experts to address their video head-end equipment, content, and encryption, along with their access technologies during the deployment of an advanced services network in order to roll out the triple play (voice, video, and data) to its subscribers. Mr. Angerhofer and his team have also been working very closely with the Independent Optical Network (ION) of New York to create a statewide DWDM network to offer advanced services to its members.
“Steve Angerhofer has a thorough understanding of the challenges and opportunities that are driving communications businesses in this age of rapid technological change,” said Peter Rasmusson, Martin Group’s President of TCE, in announcing the promotion. “As a recognized leader in IP technology, we’ve relied on his knowledge and expertise to help build our customer base. Our intention now is to leverage his talent across the entire team of consultants and engineers in order to build strategic relationships, increase customer satisfaction, and deliver valuable services to the customer.”
Mr. Angerhofer joined Martin Group in 2001 and has worked as a key engineering manager and project director. Mr. Angerhofer brought 14 years of Telecommunication, Video and Data engineering experience to Martin Group, previously serving as Vice President of Engineering for Dakota Telecommunication Group (DTG) and the Director of Data Development for McLeodUSA.
