Amdocs Unveils Low-Cost Service Fulfillment for Carrier Ethernet and MPLS IP VPN

12:18 pm   -   February 12th, 2009

Fast, reliable deployment, and delivery of new services are ensured by pre-integrated, pre-configured bundles of products and processes

Amdocs announced the launch of two new Amdocs Operational Product Packs for the fulfillment of Carrier Ethernet and MPLS IP VPN (Multi-protocol Label Switching – Internet Protocol – Virtual Private Network) services. This announcement was made at the MPLS and Ethernet World Congress taking place today. The packs provide service providers with complete service fulfillment functionality – from designing services, assigning the correct resources, through to activating and delivering the services. For this reason, service providers can reduce implementation and operational costs, while making sure they can quickly, cost effectively, and accurately fulfill new services for their customers.

Amdocs Operational Product Packs are prepackaged bundles which have been configured to support a particular process, such as planning, fulfillment, or network management for a specific service or technology. The new packs for Carrier Ethernet and MPLS combine best-practice, service-fulfillment business processes together with proven service-fulfillment products from the Amdocs CES – Cramer OSS 7.5 offering. The packs’ pre-configuration and pre-integration ensure faster, lower-cost implementations, and help service providers to quickly deploy new services and manage new technology changes – all with a single solution. In addition, the packs are also extensible to support additional customer-specific processes.

In addition to the Operational Product Packs for Carrier Ethernet and MPLS service fulfillment, there is also a Backhaul Management pack, which helps mobile operators to roll out new networks, and a DSL (Digital Subscriber Lines) Fulfillment pack, which automates the fulfillment process for DSL.
