Amdocs Signs License and Managed Services Agreement With DAVE Wireless

8:08 am   -   November 9th, 2009

Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, has signed a multi-year, managed services agreement with Data & Audio Visual Enterprises Wireless Inc. (DAVE Wireless), a Canadian wireless company.

As part of the agreement, DAVE Wireless has licensed billing, customer care, ordering and operational support systems (OSS) products from Amdocs CES – 7.5, Amdocs’ Customer Experience Systems (CES) product portfolio. This agreement greatly enhances DAVE Wireless’ launch plans already well underway with the construction of its Ericsson 3G UMTS network in five of the most populous metropolitan areas in Canada.

“By selecting Amdocs’ market-leading, out-of-the-box product suite, along with its highly dependable and reputable delivery and operational capabilities, we can achieve a low risk and rapid deployment, moving us towards the milestone of offering competitive voice and data services to Canadians,” said Dave Dobbin, President of DAVE Wireless. “Amdocs provides us the modern platform required to rapidly bring innovative new offerings to market, while efficiently managing customers, revenue and network processes.”

DAVE Wireless is a Canadian wireless company led by Obelysk, a diversified Canadian holding company, and Quadrangle Capital Partners, a global investor in the telecommunications and media sectors with more than $3 billion of capital under management. Following the Canadian wireless spectrum auction, DAVE Wireless now holds licenses which cover more than half of Canada’s population in 10 of the 13 largest markets including Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa.
